Color theory is still the best thing to ever exist. I've bought a cheap lamp that makes my room all red (for sleep quality purposes) and now everything looks more cyan/teal. If it's out of my room, it is very cyan. I love color theory

My favorite visual design aspect of the Wittebane brothers is that they look NOTHING alike. They don’t share eye nor hair color, they don’t share face shape, their eyebrows are different, they don’t even share the same nose.

This is very interesting to me because almost every other character that has relatives shares at ALOT of aspects with their bio families, that it’s unmistakable that they’re related. Eda and Lilith are both super pale, tall, slender, and have the same face shape, Amity looks EXACTLY like her mom and her siblings all share the same eye color and nose. Luz is basically just a teen Camila, and even half brothers like Steve and Matt have the same eyebrows.

And you know, that was something deliberate. In a live action setting you can’t always control exactly how your actors will look, but in a cartoon these characters were made to be so different. And their story is so vague that for all we know “brothers” is what they called each other because they had no one else, for all we know they were both abandoned orphans who found a home in each other . And his attachment to Caleb grew due to being the only person who ever showed interest in his well being.

(🐍) On of the main page dialogue scenes with Haku, he says: “Oh, finally here, huh? I'm not really ready for you yet though... Ha ha. Wait over there for me, would you? “ This is so weird to me, idk what to make of it honestly. It’s just so suspicious!

Hypothetically, if he’s outed as a spy, how much of his personality/persona is real? And who is he even reporting to? The Chancellor is the only person I could think of, unless it’s someone else entirely. Maybe the Janitor? I’m really itching to know what’s going on here. The next ep can’t come any sooner.

There are definitely lines that the characters have where they're talking to other people and not the MC, Tohma has one where he quotes a poem about sleeping to Jin basically to tell him to get his lazy ass out of bed but that line really does feel like it's from Haku to the MC. Another thing I noticed is I had a campus event where Subaru makes him some tea and while Haku compliments it and tells him not to be so formal, he also pretty much immediately leaves to go do something else, or be by himself I'll have to check.

I think he's probably a bit more violent that his dorm assignment might suggest, but that's just a feeling and I don't have concrete evidence for it. I don't think he's reporting to the Chancellor? We haven't seen enough of Cornelius to know for certain but I think we'll know if that's the case next Book. His connection to Tohma is interesting, as is his smoking. So far that makes three smokers: Jin, Tohma, and Haku, does that mean Haku knows Jin on some level too? Alan and Tohma were in Vagastrom at one point, which is said to be a dorm of delinquents so I could see the two of them having been in a gang at one point. Haku says his parents were probably "glad to be rid of him" when he went to Darkwick, so maybe he was part of that gang too and that's why he knows Tohma.

This might be semi unrelated but I feel like Haku might be based off a Kappa? But my thinking that is admittedly based off him being green and semi associated with water from how his flute seemed to work. I'd like to know more about his family's shrine and what his real feelings about it are. I don't have his SR so I can't really check but a lot of his campus events see him talking but not really saying much about his own opinion or feelings. The bit about liking cars is the closest we got to and that, if he is the spy, seems more like a jab at Tohma to let him know he's being watched. The one person who he does seem to express some... genuine feeling towards is MC and a lot of that, to me, seems like it's because he needs her to stay at Darkwick.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had been assigned by someone to watch her and make sure she doesn't get away.

Various idw villains in sg, in my opinion:

Tarn: mixed tones of red and orange, some white, i just realized those are commonly considered medic colors in baseline and i am KEEPING IT. Blue optics. A simplified version of the mask, but still a mask. Hides his insecurity under a false confidence (and his mask) and an intense focus on the Decepticon code, may i gift him "i can fix this"–itus? Still obsessed with Megs, but unlike baseline it's more benign.

Sunder: navy blue and richer teal. Orange optics. His vibes are insanely off but he's secretly a himbo who means well, which isn't viewed upon so nicely in the sg autobots. Torn between replacing mnemosurgery with some other flavor of doctor, or having him reluctantly be a mnemosurgeon who tries to use his job for good like baseline Chromedome (angst time???)

Froid: black and gold with deep blue highlights. Mist blue optics. He's just a little guy™️ who's got a "I'm not paid enough for this shit" attitude, but he means his best for his patients. I like to think his theories are different in sg, but I'm unsure how to strike a balance between still keeping influences from Freud and it being less evil than what Froid's theories are in baseline.

Getaway: primarily black and deeper red/vivid green. Amber orange optics. Still an escapeologist, pretty amiable and sees good in everyone (despite being surrounded by assholes in the sg autobots). Would be immensely funny if, instead of being good at pretending to be a good guy, he's bad at pretending to be a bad guy.

Pharma: I'm squinting at my reference for him which is Not My Fave but I'm thinking of him maybe being charcoal gray, grape juice stain purple, and green or white highlights? Red optics. As far as his personality he used to be more confident but now he's a skittery thing, he downplays his several accomplishments and always puts others first (even if it means he's in a shit sandwich like SG Delphi). After Delphi he works with Tyrest for a while, which isn't ideal, and i feel like his behavior at this stage is like baseline but without the murder. He will get help.

Tyrest: maybe primarily a wine purple and tropical blue with a light brown-gray? Light lavender or white optics. i admit i haven't thought much about sg Tyrest as his personality is stickety to Shatter, but i feel like it's similar to baseline but minus the murder. He's haunted by his actions and up the shit crick without a paddle, but he'll get better i swear.

Atomizer: tropical green and sea blue with silver highlights? Blue or purple visor. sg Getaway's ride or die. Wow there's like nothing on tfwiki in his summary, so I'm going to make shit up and suggest in SG he's the skeptical type. I can see him having Opinions on some of getaway's plans but generally still helping

Scorponok: whoo boy why is he so many colors. Mostly yellow and red, replace the bright blue with bright red and keep the black? Definitely a blue visor. if i Shatter him, would he be a more benevolent scientist who cares for his creations type?

Trepan: i am absolutely lost on his personality because on one hand since he's so entwined with functionism and medical warcrimes i want to Make Him Worse, but on the other hand i want to see what it'd take to twist him away from that in Shattering his personality. Oh and color palette wise so far in tinkering he looks best with his brown swapped for a nice blue and yellow optics swapped for magenta/pink

Overlord: this sort of peach color with blue optics. Absolute sweetheart gentle giant in SG, probably.

we went for a drive to see the aurora borealis tonight. we had a friend on call over discord on my phone and we stopped for gas and at wendys to get drinks and even in the light-polluted city you could still make out the streaks of light in the sky and it only got brighter the further away from the city we got. we decided to go to another friend's house since she had already been sending really good pictures of the aurora to chat - we ended up staying there several hours, the entire duration of the peak, just talking about the aurora and how beautiful it was and how amazing it is that we all got to be here, alive and living, with each other to experience it with. it's like an angel or god of some kind talking to us, telling us that we're supposed to be here. at one point in the middle we were all laying in the grass and laughing with each other (I was already tearing up at how lucky I felt) when suddenly the brightest shooting star we've ever seen streaks right across the middle of the aurora. it was like a scene out of a fanfic. I basically burst in to tears. we all see it, we all exclaim and cheer and we're talking about it for the next few minutes and occasionally the rest of the night. right near the end the aurora flares up again gloriously, dancing in a million shapes across the sky - we're dancing with it in the street outside her house. we hurt our necks from staring up at it for so long. as we go to leave back home we hold each other tightly in a group hug (as we had already several times this night) and I am so, so, so genuinely grateful and fortunate and happy to exist.
